Thee Merge

I worked all day on renaming the computers in the building; had to physically do this with each computer. Tons of fun and we stayed busy, busy!

I also worked on a tablet that was completely DEAD… no signs of life at all, not even the charging light would come on when you plug it in. I took it halfway apart, when I finally really thought about the problem – this is when I went to Google to search for the answer and found it. I did what they suggested which was the following (I also disconnected the BIOS battery from the motherboard);

  1.)  Take AC power away and battery – try to start, if nothing happen 

        try next step

  2.)  Hold power button for a minimum of 20 seconds – try to start, if

        nothing happen try next step

  3.)  Apply AC power ONLY – try to start, if nothing happen try next step

  4.)  Disconnect AC power, put batteries back in, reconnect AC power –

        it finally worked! YES!!!

Between disconnecting the BIOS battery and doing the above steps in "order" is what brought this tablet back to life.
